After <\/span>The Misanthrope<\/span><\/i> (1998), <\/span>Poquelin<\/span><\/i> (2003), and <\/span>Poquelin II<\/span><\/i> (2017), we present our fourth encounter with Moli\u00e8re at the Festival d\u2019Avignon<\/strong> in July 2026: 1, 2, 3 <\/i><\/b><\/span>Poquelin<\/i><\/b>. For this, we have reworked <\/span>Poquelin I<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>II<\/span><\/i>. We are playing revised versions of elements from both productions with a partially new cast, and, while we’re at it, we’re also adding some new texts.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The performance will premiere on June 28th at the Lyon Amphitheatre, during Les Nuits de Fourvi\u00e8re. From July 13th to 25th, 1, 2, 3 <\/i><\/b><\/span>Poquelin <\/i><\/b>will be performed at La Carri\u00e8re de Boulbon, at the Festival d\u2019Avignon. The performance will be played outdoors at these two locations. An indoor stage version will tour France in the fall.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In this irresponsibly long and boisterous ode to theatre, you’ll see: <\/span>Le Malade Imaginaire<\/span><\/i> (The Imaginary Invalid), <\/span>Le M\u00e9decin Malgr\u00e9 Lui<\/span><\/i> (The Doctor in Spite of Himself), <\/span>L\u2019Avare <\/span><\/i>(The Miser), <\/span>Le Mariage Forc\u00e9<\/span><\/i> (The Forced Marriage), \u2018posthumously published\u2019 <\/span>Les \u00c9gotistes <\/span><\/i>(The Egotists), and a few other bits and things\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Paternalism, stupidity, infidelity, violence, suspicion, avarice, selfishness and possessiveness are guaranteed. In short, extraordinarily 2026\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n
