Poquelin II has been selected for the TheaterFestival in Antwerp. It will be on the festival's program on September 4th and 5th.

From the jury report: “Poquelin II is batty, burlesque, grotesque and carnivalesque, but above all vital: theatre that is close to life itself, while also subtly exposing the theatrical character of life. In this way Poquelin II becomes a magnificent ode to the most delicate profession in our theatrical system, that of the actor/actress.”

In Poquelin II Kuno Bakker, Jolente De Keersmaeker, Damiaan De Schrijver, Els Dottermans, Willy Thomas, Stijn Van Opstal and Frank Vercruyssen combine Molière’s L’Avare and Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme to create one big extravaganza.
This summer the production will also be staged at Theatre by the Sea (TAZ) in Ostend and in September at Het Nationale Theater in The Hague. Poquelin II is a coproduction with Arsenaal/Lazarus, Dood Paard, NTGent and Toneelhuis/Olympique Dramatique.
